Montenegrin athletes finished the Games of the Small States of Europe in San Marino with 31 medals, just nine less than they won altogether in the three previous appearances at these Games in 2011, 2013 and 2015. Out of 31 medal, 13 are golden, six silver and 12 bronze.
On the last day, the gold medals were won by athletes Sladjana Perunovic, in the race of five thousand meters, and Kristina Rakocevic in the discus throw.
Silver went to the basketball selection which, in the last match of the tournament, overcame Iceland 86:61.
The bronze medals went to our table tennis players Ivona Petric and Filip Radovic.
In addition to Perunovic and Rakocevic, gold medals were won by their colleagues from the athletics team, Marija Vukovic and Ljiljana Matovic; by judokas Danilo Pantic, Marko Bubanja, Arso Milic, Elma Licina, Ivana Sunjevic and both male and female judo teams; by Miroslav Petkovic and Djuro Milanovic in double bowls, as well as Petkovic in bowls individually.
Thus, 13 gold medals were won by competitors from three disciplines – athletics, judo and bowls.
Silver medals went to athletes Tomas Djurovic and Ljiljana Matovic, to the basketball squad, to judoka Balsa Sinanovic, and the doubles in table tennis Petric-Culafic and Radovic-Bakic.
Bronze medals were won by athletes Sladjana Perunovic, Ivan Kukulicic and Kristina Rakocevic; Andjela Milicković in shooting; judokas Jusuf Nurkovic and Jovana Pekovic; archers Milan Borovic and Mina Sibalic in the competition of mixed pairs; bowls player Djuro Milanovic; table tennis players Filip Radovic and Ivona Culafic in singles, as well as to both table tennis selections.
